WHY MOST MUSICIANS STAY STUCK

WHY MOST MUSICIANS STAY STUCK

Most musicians don't have a practice problem. They have a sequence problem.

They learn scales without knowing how they'll be used. They learn chords without knowing how they connect. They collect information but never build a system.

So they practice — and practice — and nothing feels finished. Nothing feels connected. And progress stays slow.

The Forge gives you the sequence.

Every lesson has a purpose. Every skill connects to the next. Every stage leads somewhere specific.

That's the difference between collecting information and actually building a musician.

SOUND FAMILIAR?

YOU'RE PUTTING IN THE TIME.
BUT NOTHING'S CHANGING.

  • You've been practicing scales for years but freeze the moment someone calls a tune at a jam session.
  • You've bought books, watched YouTube videos, and tried multiple methods - but none of it feels connected.
  • You don't know your chords well enough to improvise over them - and you're not sure where to even start.
  • You practice, but there's no clear end point. Nothing really feels finished. Progress is slow and motivation fades.

STAGE 1 — FOUNDATION

Most musicians who struggle with improvisation are missing the same fundamental: command of their major scales and basic technical control of time. Stage 1 closes that gap completely. By the end, you're no longer a novice — you have the vocabulary to start making music.

Sean Reeser

Main Composer & Tenor Sax
Everything Yes

❝ The foundation I got at Inspire didn't just make me a better player. It gave me the tools to compose, arrange, and understand music at a level most musicians never reach. That's the foundation Everything Yes is built on. ❞

Dan Fennick

Guitar Student & Parent
York, PA

❝ I've taken lessons from Curt for years — and I've watched him teach my son too. He doesn't just tell you what to practice. He shows you why it matters, adapts to how you learn, and makes the whole thing feel possible. If you're thinking about signing up, stop thinking and just do it. ❞

Cole Sipe

Bass
Everything Yes

❝ I grew up at Inspire — my dad Curt's music school in York, PA. I didn't just learn bass — I learned how music actually works. That foundation is the reason we were ready for 'Everything' that came after.❞

Heather Hilker

Piano · Guitar
Worship Leader
Praise Community Church

I'd been playing by ear for years and thought that was just how I was wired. What Curt helped me realize is that playing by ear wasn't a limitation — it was actually a strength. He gave language to what I was already hearing and helped me understand the why behind it. As a worship leader, it's completely changed the way I approach music.

Luca Savarino

Tenor Sax 1 · Next Generation Jazz Orchestra
Monterey Jazz Festival
Manhattan School of Music

❝ Curt gave me a genuine and disciplined method for learning and practicing music. His guidance went beyond the technical — it helped me find consistent ways to progress toward my musical goals. Because of him I feel prepared when new challenges and opportunities come my way. ❞

FROM A FELLOW EDUCATOR

Tom Strohman

Professor Emeritus of Music
Lebanon Valley College

❝ I've watched Curt work his magic with students for decades. He has a rare gift for breaking down complex musical concepts into a clear, structured path that actually gets results. ❞

❝ I've seen what happens when this clicks. The moment someone plays the way they've been hearing it in their mind — that's why I care about this. ❞ ~ Curt Sipe

COMMON QUESTIONS.

 FAQ

Is this right for me if I'm a complete beginner?

Yes. Stage 1 is designed specifically for musicians who are starting from scratch or who have gaps in their foundation. You don't need any prior theory knowledge — just the desire to actually learn.

What instruments does this work for?

All of them. The Forge teaches music fundamentals — scales, chords, improvisation, rhythm — that apply to saxophone, guitar, piano, bass, trumpet, and more.

How much time do I need each day?

Even 20-30 minutes a day is enough to make real progress. Every lesson has a defined target so you always know exactly what you're working on and when you're done.

What if I'm already an intermediate player?

Start with Stage 2: Command. It's built for players who have the basics but feel stuck — you'll build real chord command and start improvising with confidence.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. No contracts, no commitments, no questions asked. Cancel anytime. Your founding rate is locked for as long as you stay.

When does Stage 3 launch?

Soon. When it does, the price goes up. Founding members keep their $17/month rate permanently.
